Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 30, 2026.
AthensDayTrip ("we", "us") provides private airport, port and day-trip transfers in Athens, Greece. This page explains what information we collect when you contact us or use this website, and how we use it.
1. Information we collect
- Booking details you give us: name, email address, phone number (optional), billing address, and your trip details — route or day trip, date, number of passengers, traveler names, pickup address, arrival flight or ferry number, and which payment option you chose ("Reserve Now & Pay Later" or "Pay Now"). This is collected through the booking form on this site.
- Messages you send us directly — for example over WhatsApp or email, if you contact us that way instead of using the booking form.
- Website usage data: if you accept cookies, anonymised analytics (pages viewed, general location by country/city, device type) collected via Google Analytics.
- We do not collect payment card details through this website. If you choose "Pay Now", we send a separate secure payment link rather than taking your card number directly.
2. How we use it
- To confirm and carry out your booking.
- To contact you about a trip you have booked (delays, meeting point, driver details).
- To understand which pages on this site are useful, if you have accepted analytics cookies.
We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.
3. Other services your information passes through
Booking submissions and the messages that come from them pass through a small number of other companies acting on our behalf, rather than being processed by us alone:
- Netlify — hosts this website and receives your booking form submission so we can read and reply to it. See Netlify's own Privacy Policy.
- PayPal — if you choose "Pay Now" at checkout, PayPal processes the payment (by card or PayPal account) and shares the booking amount and a confirmation with us; we never see your card details. See PayPal's own Privacy Policy.
- EmailJS — sends the booking confirmation and receipt emails on our behalf, so the details in your booking also pass through it. See EmailJS's own Privacy Policy.
- WhatsApp, operated by Meta Platforms, Inc. — if you message us there instead of using the booking form, those messages are subject to WhatsApp's own Privacy Policy, which we do not control.
- Google Translate — if you use the language switcher, the page content is sent to Google to be translated. See Google's Privacy Policy.
We don't control how these services handle data beyond what's needed to provide us the service they perform.
4. Cookies and analytics
This site asks for your consent before loading any analytics cookie. If you accept, we use Google Analytics to understand overall traffic; if you reject or ignore the banner, no analytics cookie is set. You can change your choice at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings. See Google's own Privacy Policy for how it handles analytics data.
Loading this site's fonts from Google Fonts sends your device's IP address to Google as part of the request; no cookie is set for this.
5. How long we keep information
Bookings and messages are kept for as long as reasonably needed for accounting, dispute resolution and legal requirements under Greek law, then deleted. This applies whether a booking reached us through the form on this site (stored by Netlify) or directly over WhatsApp or email. Analytics data (if you have consented) is retained according to Google Analytics' default retention settings.
6. Your rights
Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you can ask us to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you. Contact us at athensdaytrip@gmail.com to make a request.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this page from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
